It’s springtime in Montana and we have the usual vocabulary problem. It’s not really rain, but it isn’t snow either.
Frozen rain? Maybe, but it’s more like melting snow. Would the weather guy on the local news sound funny if he said–60% chance of melting snow? I think he’d have to add, falling from the sky.
The problem with rowing is you really have to do the Scooby-Doo voice: Ru-ro, it’s rowing!
So maybe snaining is the answer, as in, “Look, Mommy, it’s snaining! Let’s go outside and stomp in the slush puddles!”
