My husband and I have a fondness for tacky Las Vegas theme casinos. This may seem odd in light of the fact that we also love to travel to real places. I have no satisfactory explanation.
One of the tackiest and most fascinating sites is the “Grand Canal” in the Venetian. Here you will find singing Gondaliers and a thriving, bustling markelace (we especially love the David and Goliath store). Look up and you will see a perfect blue sky with puffy white clouds.
I have no idea how often such perfect skies cover the real Venice, but you can count on it at The Venetian, which is why our family now dubs all such vistas–Venetian sky.
We had just such a view of the heavens over Spokane yesterday and I snapped this photo with my Droid.
