Seattle doesn’t get many sunny days.

If you happen to watch The Killing you might have the impression that Seattle is always dark and gloomy. That’s not true. But I’d be lying if I said it didn’t rain here a lot. All those cloudy, rainy days help the city look extra shiny when the sun is bright, as it was today.

This was my idea of a perfect Seattle day. We were lucky enough to be able to spend most of it outdoors to maximize the fun. Here are a few pics.

We started out at the Chittenden Locks.

Later we visited the Japanese Garden at the Washington Park Arboretum.
